WPC Compound

WPC (Wood and Plastic Composite) pellets are a product composed of two elements – thermoplastic material and plant material – with characteristics that are mostly inert to temperature and pressure.

The resulting materials are alike to or closely resembling to wood – with better performance, though. That is why they are mainly used as a substitute for wood products.

WPC pellets are commonly produced by using combinations of:

  • virgin plastic material or recycled plastic material
  • inert plant fibres
  • mineral fillers
  • processing aids

WPC Granule Production Lines

Filtec’s goal is clearly defined – offering high-quality WPC pellets.

The WPC compounding segment of the plastics industry requires a higher percentage load, and that presents particular difficulties.

Polymers used for WPC pellets:

  • PP – PVC
  • ABS – PE with a load ranging from 50 to 70% of hardwood or pine flour or fibre
  • PS

Filtec developed cutting machinery, which is manufactured by criteria based on extensive lab tests and changes to field installations.
